Lindley Myers lives on the coast of North Carolina with her two sons and husband. She comes to the Center for Family & Community Engagement through a partnership with Appalachian Family Innovations. She received a BA in Psychology from University of West Georgia. Beginning in 1991, Lindley has worked serving children and families in roles including residential care, case management and community support. From direct service, Lindley moved into supervisory positions where she was able to explore the use of multi-disciplinary teams. Acting as the Training and Curriculum Coordinator for a seven county System of Care project created the opportunity to move into training development and delivery across several service delivery systems including social services, mental health, juvenile justice and the school system.
Lindley's passion is exploring and sharing information with others about key leadership skills including communication in difficult situations and compassionate thinking about complex issues, particularly where team members bring diverse or competing agendas. She is currently a member of the training team of Appalachian Family Innovations where she continues to explore individual and organizational growth and transformation by designing and delivering classroom training and e-learning resources. |
