Anne Wakefield is a Trainer and the Online Training Developer for the Center for Family and Community Engagement. She received a Master of Science in Social Work from The University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish Literature from Vanderbilt University. Anne is currently a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and has worked in the profession for 11 years. Before working for the Center, she worked as a therapist and outpatient clinical supervisor at Caring Family Network and as a clinician at Duke University Diet and Fitness Center. Also, she worked as a Family Group Conference Coordinator with the Exchange Child Abuse Prevention Center.
Future goals for Anne with the Center are to promote family-centered practice in schools, community agencies, and social services and to encourage partnership between family members and community systems. Her special interests in social work include family violence, eating disorders, and mental health.
