TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE AND LEARNING SUPPORT (TALS)

Online Request Form

Welcome to the newest addition to our training opportunities for you!  TALS is a unique and cutting edge feature that provides outstanding, tailored learning activities specifically designed to meet the needs of your learning and your county.

Research has demonstrated that to best support our classroom learning, we need to have activities that support that process before, during and after the training event.  Here is where TALS comes in.  Through two different TALS areas, we can provide you with a number of activities to enhance and capitalize on your understanding of Child and Family Teams.

Technical Assistance – These activities are generally utilized to support your in-classroom learning.  Here, we offer such things as:

  • Facilitator Forums
  • Observing facilitators in Child and Family Team meetings
  • Coaching in critical areas like preparation, safety, including children, and more (by phone or in-person)
  • Debriefing your meetings with an emphasis on facilitation
  • Implementation assistance or guidance
  • Mini - Workshops and Presentations – Case example workshops, elements of preparation, implementation ideas, practice facilitation skills and more!

Learning Support – These are activities designed to assist you in developing a training plan and acquainting your agency with the benefits of Child & Family Teams.

  • Needs assessment planning meetings
  • Mini-Workshops and Presentations – benefits of Child and Family Teams, implementation guidance,
  • Assistance in developing a Training Plan

On-Demand Trainings!  As part of your Training Plan, we can now offer training onsite or nearby your home location.  If you’d like to have one of our scheduled training events (Step by Step, Anchors Away, The ABCS of Including Children, Widening the Circle) closer to or in your area, contact us!  We will work with you to identify a location and a possible plan based on all our available resources.
