Family Engagement
The Center's engagement with families has been funded through multiple projects over the years. Supporting family engagement today is the Family-Centered Practice Project (2012 - present) funded through the NC Division of Social Services. Dr. Pennell's previous projects supporting family engagement while at NC State include:
- North Carolina Family-Centered Meetings (2002 - 2012)
- CenterPeace for Youth (2010 - 2011)
- School-Based Child and Family Teams (2006 - 2008)
- Child and Family Teams in a System of Care (2006 - 2007)
- North Carolina Family Group Conferencing (1998 - 2002)
Prior to arriving here, Dr. Pennell was Project Director and Principal Investigator of the Family Group Decision Making Project in Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada.
In 2013, the Center was honored wtih the Opal Mann Green Engagement and Scholarship Award. Read more here!
